FOSCON SHIPMANAGEMENT INC.


The company set up on March 12th of 2005 under name of FOSCON Shipping and Marine Services Inc.; to engage in the Business of ship owners, managers, operators and charterers.

The Company Signed a Contract of Ship Management.


On August 2005, the Company signed a contract of Ship Management with domestic ship owners who engaged with oil Majors and Local oil companies here in the Philippines. (Such as Petron Corporation, Filipinas Shell Corporation, Caltex and FIL Oil, Phoenix Corp, etc.) As part of the company's business aspiration to greater heights, the company has changed its name to FOSCON SHIPPING & MARINE TRANSPORTATION, INC. on June 2008 and the company has started to carry out intense marketing strategy.

The Company Signed a Contract of Bare Boat Charter with Korea ship’s Owner


On July 2008, the company signed a contract of Bare Boat Charter with Korea ship's Owner for oil/product tankers; and sub-chartered with Petron Corporation and Filipinas Shell Corporation, and engaged its business until June of 2010. The owner of the Bare Boat Charter decided to sell the vessel, and then one of the domestic ship's owners purchased the vessel; of which the ship’s managers business was continued with us due to the oil major requirements. Presently, we are still involved for ISM/SMS documents control for the vessels.

A Dream of Becoming a Top Notch Ship Management


On May 2010, as proof of the company's never ending dream of becoming a top notch ship management, the company has reinforced the management personnel with a qualified pool of Masters and Engineers; most of which with many years of experience in ship management operation. As of now, we are holding the Panama flag state DOC for Oil/Chemical/Gas Carrier and Bulk Carriers.

Objectives

Safety Management, Health, Security and Environmental Protection Policy

The company sets up an effective and appropriate Safety Management, Health, Security and Environmental Protection Policy to guarantee that quality and reliability of the management service for the type of ships mentioned below are maintained by the company, for the Safety of Life, Health of Crew, Environmental Protection, Security of Ship and Personnel; the management of ships stated are deemed safe and reliable.

  • To achieve this Policy with the target of “0”(Zero) incidents and “0”(Zero pollution), the company aims to improve services that has been established by the Safety Management System: with Risk Assessments, to ensure the safeguards and compliance of everybody onboard, to the people and to the environment applying the requirements of International Safety Management Code and other relevant international conventions.

    This established Safety Management System is applicable to the Organization and the persons who are in charge of Ship Safety Management, Health, Security and Environmental Protection, and also to the ships mentioned on this policy.

    The company herewith promise, to take overall responsibility for the implementation of the Safety Management System, and guarantee that all personnel working in the Ship Management Organization, Masters and crew members on board, perform their duties in accordance with the requirements of the documented Safety Management System.

    The company has entrusted the responsibility and authority for the supervision and maintenance of the Safety Management System to the Designated Persons in the Organization. The Designated Persons shall point out the problems for the safety of everyone onboard the ships, propose/recommend/offer solutions and measures, and shall have full authority and responsibility on hand, upright in upholding the necessary commendations and actions for maintaining and improving the Safety Management System.

    In addition, the Designated Persons are obliged to give accurate and appropriate instructions to the Organization and Masters, to be able to discuss openly the concurring problems/conflicts and concerns with each personnel, until satisfactory solutions are reached, and also confer fair decisions in all disquiets related to management.
